Selection Criteria

The applicant:

- must be a student enrolled in ACS(I)’s IB Diploma Programme

- must be of good character & conduct

- has represented Singapore/NSA in the Year 2023 and/or 2024 in regional or international sporting competition/s (minimally ASEAN or Asian level) recognised by the relevant national sports associations (NSAs);

- Earmarked by his/her NSA as having potential to compete at Major Games e.g. SEA Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, Commonwealth Youth Games and any other equivalent competitions during their time in ACS(I) and;

- must have his/her application endorsed by the relevant national sports associations

*NSA must handle the sporting aspect for the student-athlete

• Submit student-athletes’ training plan and competition plan when requested.

• Appoint preferably a high-performance manager as point of contact with school.

• Manage and monitor the sporting development of student-athlete.

• Ensure that student-athlete adhere to the training and competition plans and the terms stated in the given plan.

• Take corrective actions to address any major changes to student-athlete’s training and competition plans, as part of the role in monitoring the sporting development.
