2023
In 2023, our ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Division shooters from the ACS (Independent) Shooting CCA competed in the National School Games (NSG). In preparation for the NSG, our shooters trained tirelessly, always giving their best and striving for excellence in their sport, despite challenges to balance their academic commitments with their rigorous training schedules.
We are proud to announce that our shooters’ hard work has paid off, and that they have achieved commendable results in all categories. 2023 was also the first year with individual finals since 2019 due to the pandemic, and hence competing in the finals was a new experience for most of us, myself included. The results are as follows:

We are extremely proud of our shooters’ dedication and achievements, as well as their perseverance to excel in the sport. These achievements have been made possible not only through our shooters’ own hard work, but also the constant support and encouragement from our teachers, Mrs. Ho-Toh Ling Lee, Ms. Mazlind and Mr. Teo Eng Han, throughout their NSG journey. We must also not forget the guidance and mentorship from our patient coaches, Coach Fan Xiaoping and Coach Gai Bin, and above all God.

2022

In addition to the team accolades, we would also like to congratulate Chua Joel from Class 2.06 (attained 2nd in ‘C’ Division Rifle), Jason Kok Wen Hao from Class 3.15 (attained 4th in ‘B’ Division Rifle) as well as Justin Loei Wen Hao from Class 5.07 (attained 2nd in ‘A’ Division Pistol) on their outstanding individual performances. Well-done, everyone!

Captain, ‘B’ Division
2021
The year of 2021 has been a fruitful one for the the ACS (Independent) Shooting Club. The school’s ‘A’ and ‘B’ Division Rifle and Pistol Teams participated in the 25th National Inter-School Shooting Championships held from the 12 – 20 April 2021 at the SAFRA Yishun Indoor Shooting Range. The teams faced stiff competition from other schools and competed against worthy opponents.
We are proud to announce that all the shooters did the school proud. Both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ Division Pistol Teams emerged as champions! The ‘A’ Division Rifle Team clinched the Bronze title and the ‘B’ Division Rifle Team attained a commendable 6th placing.
The following ‘A’ Division Air Pistol Shooters also won individual medals:
- Tay Jun Wei (Class 6.05) – Silver Medal
- Sean Lim (Class 6.13) – Bronze Medal
The following ‘B’ Division Air Pistol Shooters also won individual medals:

2019
The year of 2019 has been a fruitful one for the ACS (Independent) Shooting Club, participating in various competitions such as the Nanyang Technological University Invitational Shoot in March in preparation for the 23rd National Inter-School Shooting Championships. 2018
The ACS (Independent) Shooting Club participated in several competitions such as the Nanyang Technological University Invitational Shoot, the National University of Singapore Invitational Shoot and the Singapore Youth Olympic Festival in preparation for the 22nd National Inter-School Shooting Championships. Our shooters fought hard against intense competition from worthy opponents, giving their all and eventually attaining well-deserved awards.

*We are proud of Keith Chan (class 5.06), a National Youth Team member, who represented Singapore in several international competitions listed below. For his invaluable contributions, he was awarded the ACS Old Boys’ Association President’s Award at Honours Day 2014.
- 7 – 14 March: 7th Asian Championship, Kuwait. Out of a total of 46 participants from 19 Countries. Achieved individual 24th and team 5th.
- 4 – 13 June: ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun held in Munich, Germany. An open category competition with a total of 133 participants from 57 countries. Achieved individual 93th place
- 23 July – 3 August: 20th Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, England. An open category competition with a total of 21 participants from 12 countries. Achieved individual 11th place.
*We would like to congratulate Gregg Chan (class 2.06) for his brilliant performance at the Singapore Invitational Shoot 2014. In the men’s 10m air rifle final on 8th December, Gregg Chan won the elimination-style finals with a total of 203.2 points, ahead of Japan’s Kazuma Hashizume (202.1). Well done!

- In the School Category: The C division Air Pistol Team won the Zonal Team Silver while the B division Air Rifle Team won the Overall and Zonal Team Golds.
- In the Individual Category: Keith Chan achieved the Zonal Individual Gold medal, while Toran Seth and Li Huang Kang won the Zonal Individual Silver medals. Lin Jia Kai won the Individual Bronze medal.
