ACS (INDEPENDENT)’S 2024 IB EXAM RESULTS
100.0% passes; school achieved an average score of 41.2 points.
Wednesday 18 December 2024, Singapore: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)’s Class of 2024 comprising 452 students achieved 100% passes at the November 2024 International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme Examination. Of these 452 students, 356 (79%) obtained 40 points and above, while 267 students (59%) achieved a score of between 42 to 45 points. This set of results saw the school achieving an average score of 41.2 points. The students received their results online at 8 am on 18 December 2024 via the IB candidate website.
The Principal of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Mr Arene Koh, extends his heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2024 for completing the rigorous IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and achieving outstanding results in the November 2024 IBDP examinations.
Commending their performance and achievements, he noted that this outcome has shown what is possible when dedication, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence come together. He urged the Class of 2024 to remain steadfast in their journey and continue to build a legacy of positive change as they step into the next chapter.
The school also expresses its gratitude to the ACS Board of Governors, the ACS(I) Board of Management, the ACS Old Boys’ Association, the Methodist Church in Singapore, MOE, parents and well-wishers for their support and encouragement.
The IBDP Class of 2024, together with teachers, parents and the Senior Administration, will come together on 3 January 2025 to celebrate and give thanks for this set of results.

ABOUT THE IB DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (DP)
The IB Diploma Programme at ACS (Independent)
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) aims to develop students with breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically. ACS (Independent) IB students offer six subjects in addition to the three core elements.
The three core elements are:

Theory of knowledge, in which students reflect on the nature of knowledge and on how we know what we claim to know.

The extended essay, which is an independent, self-directed piece of research, finishing with a 4,000-word paper.

Creativity, activity, service, in which students complete a project related to those three concepts.
The six subject groups are:
The maximum grade for each subject is 7 points with a maximum of 3 bonus points based on their performance for the EE, TOK and CAS. The diploma is awarded to students who achieve a minimum score of 24 (out of a possible total of 45) and fulfil other minimum requirements. Student results are determined by performance against set standards, not by each student's position in the overall rank order.
